Mary Berry’s Banana Cake
Adapted from Mary Berry Baking Bible
100g Softened Butter
175g Caster Sugar
2 Large Eggs
2 Over Ripe Bananas (mashed)
225g Self Raising Flour
2 tbsp. Milk
1 tbsp. Golden Syrup
Preheat the oven to 160 Degree Celsius (fan), Gas Mark 4.
Weigh out all the ingredients and beat together in a baking bowl.
Grease a tin, preferably a loaf tin but all I had was a heart shape, line with baking parchment.
Pour in and level off.
Bake for one hour!
Its’s not the lightest cake I’ve ever eaten and it is very moreish!
