One Wok Wednesday
(..and a saucepan.)
Tonight we had a pork stir fry. I still can’t cook Chinese food like it tasted in China, they must have secret ingredients or something. Maybe it’s just the MSG. Maybe it’s just my cooking.
It went a little like this. In a jug/pot/bowl, mix together a little oil, soy sauce, honey, 5 spice, fresh chilli, ginger and garlic and S+P.
Heat up the mixture in a wok and add pork mince. Cook through. Add onion, peppers, courgette, carrot and mushrooms and stir fry until cooked.
We served it with rice. Not because we wanted to. Turns out we had no noodles left and weren’t prepared to go to the shops. It was still nice enough though (but I still prefer noodles).
